The Soul Comes Home

Morning. Earl Grey tea, sandalwood incense, my favorite ginger cat named OM is still asleep at 5:48 a.m. I walk to the window to see the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus. It only lasts for a few days, so I was lucky to be a witness to this beautiful sight. A few clouds parted just enough to reveal them: bright, small diamonds in the sky that brought so much awe to my heart.

This new home, where I moved a few months ago, brings an unfamiliar sense of peace. Or perhaps, I've finally learned to hold it in my heart with much less effort than I did during the days of darkness. I am becoming serenity itself, and it feels so good. Some days feel like a permanent vacation. I wonder if this is how we should all live—it seems so natural. But then I remember a time when work and "being someone" were all that mattered to me.

I feel reborn and renewed, but also maturing—not just physically, but deep in my soul. I value things differently now, and I savor each piece of my everyday life, simple yet so present. This painting represents that feeling. I confess I had to paint it twice; I didn't like the first version. This is the second piece, and I think I might create another one. I'm working on getting better at watercolor, and it takes a lot of practice. Not every piece turns out great, but I'm truly enjoying the process.

The Wisdom of Spiritual Connection

The spirit doesn't just come to the holy; it comes to those who seek it.

It arrives in the empty space we create after letting go of old beliefs. True wisdom is when you become it; words fade into nothing, and being itself acts on its own knowledge.

You can walk through fires without being burned. You are the sky, and your thoughts are merely the clouds. Every act of love helps heal the world.

When you stop seeing yourself through your eyes and begin to feel yourself through your heart, you will finally know who you truly are.

Every action and every thought carries a seed that will inevitably grow. Life is your teacher, and what you give will be given back. We live in a room of mirrors, and the reactions to our actions will sometimes only be witnessed by those who come after us—a form of ancestral karma. We are always empowered to choose in every moment.

Be like a river when encountering challenges: instead of fighting them, flow around them. They are nothing.

We are the holy, the sacred, having a human experience. Our thoughts and actions often make us feel unworthy. We are also conditioned to forget the truth of who we are, taught to feel only human—to be scared of the world, scared of disease, and scared of dying.

These are the beliefs of the conditioned mind. Once in this world, we are taught to be afraid of everything.

Only you can bring peace to your heart. There is nothing more important than connecting with your soul each day, each night, and realizing who you truly are.

The Spirit in the Everyday World

The sacred is not something found in distant places, but in every moment and action of our lives.  We are convinced that it's distant, in some other realm, that we are not it, that we are separated from the sacred.

True wisdom is not found externally, but from within.  By unlearning fear, we return to the truth of our essence.

As we empty ourselves in the silence of meditation, we create a space for the pure spirit to enter. Together, we begin to form a new, cleaner, and healthier self. Through this practice, all things heal. We no longer hold onto what is wrong, doubt, or fear; instead, we replace it with the peace of simply being.

Daily life becomes a delight, especially when we learn to carry that state of being with us after our daily meditation. Everything around us begins to shine and breathe, and we connect effortlessly with nature and life itself. This is the essence of life: finding what we truly are—pure consciousness—and learning how to achieve and hold onto that state within ourselves.

This doesn't mean we will be free of future pain or suffering but we can do a lot by taking charge of our own inner state and make it a good place to live in.

Rituals of Self-Love

  • Connect with deep music.

  • Paint.

  • Create something with your hands.

  • Cook a healthy, nourishing meal for yourself.

  • Walk.

  • Listen to the birds.

  • Bathe in the sunlight.

  • Take a gentle rain shower.

  • Be fully present with yourself.

  • Write in a journal.

  • Watch the sunrise or sunset in silence.

  • Give yourself a gentle massage with your favorite oils.

  • Practice a few minutes of quiet stillness.

  • Light a candle and simply watch the flame.

You are the only one who can bring new experiences into your life—but only when you start doing it consciously and with purpose. Don't leave it to chance. Take the wheel and guide yourself back to the peace where you truly belong.

Thank you for being, for staying inspired and for making the world better, by healing, improving and being a loving soul walking through the world.  Namaste 🙏🏻🥰

Welcome winter

It is that beautiful time of the year when leaves are falling and it's getting chilly,
when our souls are preparing to close the cycle and when we should close to
the outer world, keep the warmth in and enjoy of the harvest of our duties, either
good or bad, we will sure always learn something and we should be grateful
because of that, we grow larger in experiences and understanding and
that is priceless. At least I appreciate it.

I've been doing a lot of illustration lately, my love for drawing wants to grow,
maybe I should feed it and see were it goes. As an artist you need
to have a lot of new ideas constantly and you will have to do what it
takes to create them, developing your style, your self, is a long term job
and perhaps you will never be completely original, specially now
with the openness of the web, you find out there is someone else
doing what you do but better and  you can only try to do your best
and keep going.

I am grateful for those who like what I do and somehow help me
keep going, thank you, I hope you enjoy this new work!

We can use our power to love or to destroy but what we do, we do it to
our selves for we are one and we will always pay the price for using it,
this is just consequence.

If you focus on the shadow, you become the shadow,
if you find the beauty in all there is, you become that,
for what you think and perceive is who you are.
This is your state of consciousness.

Love is never out, it is in the heart of those who live it.

La, la, la, la, la....

Not much words.
Only some corners of my heart.
It´s all said through my art and songs.
Enjoy!

You will always be in my songs
for you became my heart
and I thank the universe for
bringing you to my experience,
my life is better because of you.

This page bellow was created while listening to Nandhi Tapasyogi,
a beautiful soul I found over twitter, he has many beautiful videos and
interviews in his web page if you like to take a listen.

Ho yes, an update in the recycled tea bags.
Use some fun tape, like washi tape to cover them and voila!
Use your new cute bags at will! Cards, scrapbooking, journaling,
to give presents, to keep records, etc...

This drawing in my journal turned in to the painting next
which I still have to paint the frame, can´t decide the color,
any suggestions?

Alas de temple/ Serenity wings

I have been working with tempera this past month,
the process is super slow but I think I love it, there is
a lot about patience that I have to learn!  I share with
you a video of the process, some photos I took while
creating this sweet birdie!

elevate us to the true love

This week we had a few super cold days, I was really freezing over
my studio but I got to wear my hat and gloves that I love, it`s mostly
warm here in Mexico city and so we are never ready for this kind of weather!

The studio at a super early hour, this is when I wake up and this
is how it looks when it`s super clean!  My kitties are asleep, can
you picture them?  They are two! ;D

I am starting to create winter buddies!  I wish I had more
time to make them, they are so much fun!  So much to do
that makes me happy!  Do you ever find your self like that too?

I love this kitty!  I will have to make more of them!
This one is listed over my Etsy for one lucky shopper here!

The cheapest journal in the block!

Who said journaling is an expensive duty?
I just found this awesome way to do it with
cheap supplies!  Well, at least the book is, I
think they are about a couple of bucks!  Then a pencil
and a pen and some watercolor set!!  That`s all I used
to do this beautiful pages!

And of course, kitty had to try it out too! ;D

I`ve been writing so much I needed a space like this journal and then
my need of color and drawing something cute abruptly caught me
and the colors were there so I had to try this crazy idea!

The cool thing is I don`t really care if it`s a good work, I just "drop"
everything in there and add color and this satisfies my need of art-ing for a while!
Next I want to add photos and everyday ephemera, I`ve always loved
keeping things so this is a good place to do different experiments
not to mention how cheap it is!! Yippee!! :D

Er... excuse me please...!!

I am taking Joanne Sharpe Doodle class, she`s fantastic, I love her way of teaching,
I haven`t completed the course yet but I`ve learned new things, I love how she
explodes with colors in every page!
Her style is awesome and it`s hard not to just copy, I always try and
learn and then add my own thing but I am sure I have a little something
from every teacher I`ve learned from!

I am happy to share that I am working on my first article to be published in
a magazine!! I am super excited and can`t wait to share when this happens,
be patient, it takes a while!  I have been working on that for a while, men,
I didn`t know it was so much work!! But one that will be worth it, I am sure!

Me happy, super happy
and thankful, super thankful!

I am also learning a lot about cooking! My mom studied for desserts chef
and so I think I got something from her for I love it more and more,
specially when my loved ones enjoy of all of the home made goodies!
It`s a thrill! I love to change the ingredients to make things healthier!
No other way to eat like that but to make it your self!  Here is my
pinterest wall about desserts if you want some inspiration for cooking!
