The month of love.

        

Hello sweets! It´s been a while I know, I miss you and I am back to share the news!

I´ve grown so much since I first started this blog, 15 years now!  At the beginning I didn´t know much about blogging and I know I still have a lot to learn but it´s been fun and very interesting to me and I thank you for being part of this journey, I will always be grateful to you!

What´s new?

My studio is smaller so I had to learn to be practical and focused on what I really wanted to do and being in a small place helped me because I can´t have a bunch of stuff I don´t use just waiting there, so I cleaned up a lot of my art supplies. 

New paintings!

Yes! I´ve been absorbed by creating, but what is new right? this time I wanted to try new things, dare a bit more, loosen  a lot more and experiment and have fun at the same time.  At the beginning of the year I had that clear in my mind but not the how, so I just kept painting, doing and trying, that´s been my path, my way, my school but somehow I feel more comfortable now.  That doesn´t mean that I don´t struggle anymore, it´s just different.

                

          

                

Sometimes you aren´t clear about what you are looking for, specially when it´s about creating.

That`s how it is supposed to be!  Yes, you are walking a new path and something that hasn´t been created yet is taking shape, go there with all you have.

Experiment

Play

Enjoy

To me, art is a playground, a wonderful tool to expand, nurture my soul and grow.  I apply what I learn in my art in other areas of my life but everything has it´s time and it´s own process so it is important to be patient. Our society is in a rush, we are currently living as if there is not enough time, food and supplies!  Please notice how you have implemented that same feeling in your life and take a step back and breath!  We´ll get were we want one painting at a time and never let anyone tell you you should be there already, specially your self!  We are our greatest critics and pushers, at least I am, I want to be painting the things I see in my mind but now I know it´s a life time process and I am happy with it, it means you get to keep learning forever and trying new things all the time, how boring would life be if we wouldn´t be able to do this! Agree?

            

                   

               

I hope this is inspiring, soon will share more news, if you haven´t yet listened to my music you can take a peek here, soon my new album will be released, that´s what I´ve been doing all this time too, music is the part of me many haven´t yet seen but I am slowly changing that. So much to do, so much to enjoy, so much to love in this lifetime, grateful.

and laughter in children,

so much to breath, 

so much to be.

To be,

consciously conscious,

growing to get there,

to impersonal,

reach the truth beneath

find the real.

I am currently reading a fabulous book, "Awakening the heroes within" If

you want to get it here is the link for you and I follow Carol on twitter, it´s about

recognizing 12 archetypes that we all have and hoe much we have developed 

each one of them, apparently, if one is not very well developed, we´ll encounter

trouble and recognizing them will help you fill the gaps missing in your life, 

I find this fascinating! This book is my kind of book,  one that helps 

you understand more about your self and because of that you grow, 

let me know if you read it and if it helped you too!  

Can you recommend one for me on the same track?

I´ve been busy, I am slowly returning to modeling, a job that is

not easy as many people think, it´s not about being pretty, as

everything in life, has it´s challenges specially in my country

were fashion is beginning to wake up, how can it be other way

if the majority make money to barely survive! Fashion is an illusion

some want to believe but in this country I find it hard to follow, I am

going for the publicity side of modeling, now, there we can say there

is a huge investment and a lot of work, the bad part is that there are

many foreign people from many different countries fighting 

for the same jobs! So we will see if I endure! Lol!

I am still doing my art journal workshops and music, this will

never die in my life for they are my true companions, were I can fly

and express freely, without judgment, were I give my self...

But then, only if I dare...

Turkey sandwich with an amazing dressing for the side salad, a capuchino and a

treat for dessert, apple pie, this restaurant is very close to my home so I got there

every time I´m alone.  

I started to make some journals, I plan to offer them for sale soon, just as

soon as they are ready, they are all hand painted, sometimes I mix scrapbook 

papers to give a variety and HO yes, I have too many so I need to get rid 

of them finally! I think having a journal like this, you can add just your journaling 

or some photos or to give them away as presents, each one is unique, I am using 

my gelli print for the painting process of the papers, it´s so much fun 

wouldn´t you agree?  

I share with you some of my first photo shootings, if you didn´t know, I was 

Miss Mexico in 1991-1992 and I wanted to have some new photos with my crown

and bandage, it may be nothing to some but for me, it was a big deal and changed

my life, after so many years, I am still grateful this came to my life and I want to

give it it´s proper place even though I am terrible when it comes to taking care of my 

crown, it was all twisted! Lol!

Now that I went back to the traffic, I am taking my books with me to use 

the time usually is wasted, I wish there were more audio books and the facility

to download them, that would make our live easier while in the car don´t

you think? I want a gadget of audio books only, if someone is listening...

that is a great idea!  :)

"Fish out of water"

My muse and my connection to the world
of emotions, one of my obsessions,
no other band makes me feel this way
I can´t say why, I´ve been listening to their
music for so long,  one day I found my self
deeply in love with the lead singer, Roland Orzabal, 
such an interesting man, it´s my dream to met him
one day but it´s also the scariest idea!

if I find my self broken, this heals 
if I am happy, this is my companion
if I am lost, this inspires me
if I need a hand, this is tenderness...

Published and so happy!

Well, I finally did it!  I submitted an article to one of

my favorite magazines, Pages from Cloth Paper Scissors 

and was accepted but, and this is a BIG BUT,

 I recieved the magazine a couple of days ago and when I saw 

my work on the cover I was over the moon with happiness, 

it trully made my whole year!

Can you tell how happy I am?  :)

This magazine is awesome, I`ve been collecting it since the begining,

 this is the 4th volume and it`s published twice a year but the magazine 

is full of yummy articles from great artist from around the globe, this 

makes it super rich in fresh and different ideas!  

And I have to comment about how well treated I was and how 

profesional they are, that made the experience even better, now 

I know that the quality that shows in their magazine is coming

 from the people working in there, of course!

The creative mess in class each morning is lovely, we enjoy of christmas

ponche I make and banana cupcakes while we chat and share, I love it!

La lana y La Oveja / The sheep and the wool

So I`ve been learning a lot of things, it`s wonderful 

to know there is so much to learn, to try, to mold! 

This are some new paintings from this last days, I am using new techniques and

having lots of fun with them and mixing them to see what happens! 

 We artists are like that, always trying new things, wondering what ifs 

and putting them to action, evolution comes from learning and trying 

different stuff, daring to fail is important, if you are not failing means that you 

aren`t trying and leaving the comfort zone is hard at the beginning but it`s so

rewarding when you overcome your old self and start to build a new one, 

so keep learning, growing and daring to try new things!

Sheep are my muse now, I carved a stamp of one and couldn`t 

stop there, they are so cute and tender, they make me feel all this

sweet feelings of love and so I had to paint them, this one is listed

 over my shop if you are interested!  I think it would make a great

gift for the symbol of wealth and goodness!

 I hope you are enjoying the photos of my art journey at school, 

I am having lots of fun and trying things I would never would

by my self, it is really interesting and mind opening but this is 

keeping me super busy, I can`t wait for my small brake over

the holidays to rest and make some other projects I have in mind

and want to share with you!  I hope you are having a great time too!
