La pasiòn nunca muere

Passion never dies!

Only if we let go but this force may

push anyone who`s brave enough to tap on it!

Passion to go for what you love no matter the

obstacles, no matter the fears and doubts one may

hold, one has to follow the passion for life

and keep feeding the burning fire of the heart!

This are new pages on my fabric journal, I added

some photoshop work and I am loving it! 

The writing says: 

Pies pa`què los quiero si tengo 

alas para volar!  

Some words from Frida that I

trully treasure, why shoud I want feet if I have 

wings to fly!

Of course she wrote them in a painful moment of

her life and I undesrtand how hard this had most been for her

but this words help me when I feel frustrated and things

get hard, no one will escape the hands of frustration

once or twice or more... but hope is always there

and this words remind me of that!

Levitating

Yes, she is levitating! But ho, this wasn`t 

on purpose! Lol!

I am experimenting with this new idea of 

making quilted dolls and of course, I

 don`t know everything about it!

I am not new at sewing but totally new

to quilting wich is a whole fantastic world!

Now I know I have to be really careful 

in the placement of the doll when I am 

attaching her to the background!

There most be a trick to that for even though

I pined her, she moved!  Maybe she 

wants to fly!

But I like the way she turned out even 

though she`s not perfectly standing, the

bright colors and the new techniques on

sewing her is giving me lots to experiment 

with! To be honest this wasn`t easy to make

and  it was at times painful!

Some parts of this process were a lot of fun

like the painting but that`s were I have the

most experience with, sewing in a brand new way

is something I have to keep on experimenting!

Isn`t it exciting to find something you like

and be able to explore it and grow with it?

I do love that! :)

but I love the naive feel it gives her from being

tilted, what do you think?  Should I crope it and

frame it straight or keep her the way she turned

 out?  Please vote!

Bounded

I took an online class with one of my favorite 

artists,  Ruth Rae I don`t know why but I love

everythnig she does!  Her work is beautiful 

and so I made this  inspired by her and this

next Love day, it was a lot of fun to make it!

A few scraps left form other projects lying there, 

quietly, loging for a curious heart to put them in 

use and bring beauty to your eyes and a soft smile 

to your heart, waking up your inspiration, these 

are the dreams of fabric and threads...

Stories are build up in their world, in mine, in yours,

the invisible thread that bounds us all can be seen

only with the mind eye, if we just stop and pay attention,

the truth is, we are all LOVE, we are all bounded, 

some are aware, some aren`t just yet...

And what is LOVE?

For each one is different and each one of us finds

 unique places and corners were this LOVE is blooming...

Love is color,

Love is light,

Love is sharing,

Love is what we are.

 Here is the final piece, wanting to tell a story,

about Love, about giving the power of ART to

some fabic and paper scraps...

Sewing my heart out!

 In my days at fashion designer and textile

 school didn`t think about sewing could be

part of an art piece, it is just recently that I 

decided to incorporate it in my work and

I am having  a blast of creativity!!

I am not using complicated techniques

just what comes to me when I am creating,

again, I am following what is calling my

heart and I am combining different media

and I just feel renewed with my sewing

background and it promises lots of days

of fun creating!

To me, it is like painting with different media,

I am adding the same kind of designs I usually do

 in my paintings but I`ve always loved the idea of 

touching what is in the painting, it`s an 

exploration into another dimension!

I have a surprise for you to celebrate this valentine`s day,
